How It All Started: A Soccer Fan’s Winter Experiment

FlikBall was created by Miguel Hernandez, a soccer lover from Bilbao, Spain (Aupa Athletic!), who found himself stuck indoors during the long, dark winters in Vancouver, Canada. Looking for something exciting to play with his wife, he first considered a card game but quickly realized he wanted something more dynamic and interactive.

That’s when childhood memories kicked in—playing mini soccer with a paper ball and makeshift cardboard goals. Using his passion for LEGO, Miguel built a prototype of a flick-based soccer game. At first, it was too easy to score, so he added a spring-loaded goalie that pivots from side to side. Then, to spice things up, he introduced the 4-inch “Free Flik Barrier”, forcing players to flick over an obstacle to score, just like a real free kick.

The result? Instant fun! Miguel and his wife played for hours. Soon, family and friends joined in, and word spread fast. After months of development, engineering, and perfecting every detail, FlikBall was born.

How to Play FlikBall

FlikBall is easy to learn but hard to master, making it the perfect mix of strategy, skill, and fun.

Basic Gameplay:

✅ Flick the ball toward your opponent’s goal.
✅ Defend your net using the spring-loaded goalie.
✅ Score by getting the ball past your opponent.
✅ Add the Free Flik Barrier to increase the challenge!

Game Modes:

🏆 First to 10 Goals – Win by scoring 10 goals first, but you must lead by 2!
⏳ Timed Matches – 5-minute games with a penalty flick shootout if tied.

Play 1v1 or in teams, create your own challenges, and test your flicking skills against family and friends!
